How to Sanitize Your Equipment

Please make sure all of your equipment is clean and sanitized before making Amazake at home.
- Wash all of the equipment with soap, and rinse well (container, container lid, spoon, the tip of thermometer, etc.) .
- Except for a non-waterproof thermometer, place all washed equipment in the larger container and soak in boiling water for a couple of minutes.
- Shake off the water, and everything is ready to use. (Do not wipe off any food-contact surface, but you can wipe off the non food-contact surface.)
CAUTION:
- Do not wash or soak non-waterproof electrical devices in the hot water.
- Please be careful to avoid burning yourself from the hot steam and hot water.
