How to Sanitize Your Equipment

Please make sure all of your equipment is clean and sanitized before making Amazake at home.

  1. Wash all of the equipment with soap, and rinse well (container, container lid, spoon, the tip of thermometer, etc.) .
  2. Except for a non-waterproof thermometer, place all washed equipment in the larger container and soak in boiling water for a couple of minutes.
  3. Shake off the water, and everything is ready to use. (Do not wipe off any food-contact surface, but you can wipe off the non food-contact surface.)

CAUTION:
  • Do not wash or soak non-waterproof electrical devices in the hot water.
  • Please be careful to avoid burning yourself from the hot steam and hot water.
